What is it?

Click Frenzy is Australia's big online sale before Black Friday. The Main Event runs from 7pm AEDT Tuesday 27 October to 11:59pm Friday 30 October (an hour earlier on Queensland clocks). Online shoppers will be in sale mode.

Who's already on it

Smaller Australian brands such as Elka Collective, Yarra Trail and Cook & Bathe joined as official Click Frenzy participants, so they sit beside the majors in the deal round-ups.

Lesson: To appear in Click Frenzy lists you have to register. Otherwise run your own offer and never call it a Click Frenzy deal.

Your serve: make your own version

  • You don't need to sign up to ride the mood. Run your own four-day online offer over the same dates: a gift card with a bonus, or a class pack.
  • Post it on Tuesday afternoon, before the inboxes fill up.
  • Name it your own thing (a "four-day spring offer"), never "our Click Frenzy deal", and don't use the hashtag.

Hold the salt: watch out

Skip "was/now" and strikethrough prices and just state the offer (ACCC is strict on reference prices). Gift cards have minimum expiry rules under the ACL, so check them before adding bonus value. Don't use the Click Frenzy name or logo unless you're a registered participant.
